No Win, No Fee Companies

Many people feel an immediate distrust when they hear no win, no fee. This name has got a bad reputation because many people feel that it is something that is bad. There are some people that think it is a way to rip you off and others that do not like solicitors. It is all unnecessary though.
No win, no fee is very simple. All it means is that if the solicitor does not win the case, then they do not charge you anything. This is simple enough. There are some people that misinterpret it and think that it means that you do not have to pay the solicitor under any circumstances. Then they feel rather cheated when they find out when they do. However, most solicitors want to be upfront and honest about their charges and they will tend to let you know what they will charge before they start work on your case. If they do not, then make sure that you ask them. Some will make sure that you get 100% of your compensation and others will charge you up to 30% of what you win.
You may be tempted by the 100% compensation, but do think about the service you will be getting. It will not make any difference to the solicitor whether they win or lose, because you will not be paying them anyway 9they get expenses from the court). So they may not have so much incentive to win the case. You want to just make sure that you choose the solicitor that you feel confident will do their best job at representing you and will be experienced enough to win the case, if it is possible for it to be won.
You do have to remember that even if you know that the accident was not your fault, the solicitor has to be able to prove it. This means that they need evidence, which it might be difficult to get hold of. Therefore, at least if you choose the best solicitor for the job, you know that you have done the best that you can to win the case.
