Positioning Your PPC Advertisement

The position of your PPC advertisement can be very important. It is worth looking at statistics with regards to what gets the best clicks. A PPC Management company will be able to give you the latest information as well as what they find to be the best for their customers.

It does tend to be the advertisements that show in the top three places, right a the top of the search results, as opposed to those which are down the side, that generate the most traffic. Of course, being on the first page of search results makes a huge difference as well. Some advertisers find that position number one is not the best at converting but two and three are better.

Obviously there are people who are prepared to pay less and be shown on the right hand side. This must have advantages for them, or else they would not do it and so it might be something that you need to consider thinking about as well.

This is not an exact science though. It could depend very much on your specific target keyword, you ad copy, the competition you have and when you place your advertisement, as to how good your conversion rate is.

You may need to experiment, with getting your advertisement in to different positions, working out the cost and the traffic generated as well as the conversion rate and seeing which seems to be the best for you.

This can take a lot of effort, but it is well worth it. You will find that you will get much better value for money out of what you have paid for your advertising and you will get better results and sales. It is time consuming though and that is why many people decide to pay a company to do it for them. Their expertise can be worth far more than what they charge and it can make a big difference to the success of your advertising campaign.
